Description
Aluminum oxide is used in dessicators ceramics, coating material and electrical insulators. It is an ingredient in sunscreen, sometimes present in cosmetics such as blush, lipstick, and nail polish. Aluminum oxide is the catalyst in the Claus process in hydro desulfurization and some Ziegler-Natta polymerizations. It is widely used as an abrasive, in the automotive industries, cosmetic industries and fiber materials.It is a medium for chromatography in some sodium vapor lamps.
