Applications
• D(+)-Sucrose can be used for protein and nucleic acid purification
• Its fatty acid esters have laboratory research applications in transdermal systems
• It is also used for sucrose-gradient centrifugation, which may be employed for the selective isolation of Nocardia species from soil
