Description

This shuttle vector contains the complete ORF for the gene of interest, along with a Kozak consensus sequence for optimal translation initiation. It is inserted NotI to AscI. The gene insert is flanked with convenient multiple cloning sites which can be used to easily cut and transfer the gene cassette into your desired expression vector.

  • NPY4R is a member of the G protein-coupled receptor 1 family.
  • It is one of five receptors for neuropeptide Y and peptide YY. NPY4R is expressed at high levels in amygdala, corpus callosum, hippocampus and subthalamic nucleus.
  • Neuropeptide Y is one of the most abundant neuropeptides in the mammalian nervous system and exhibits a diverse range of important physiologic activities, including effects on psychomotor activity, food intake, regulation of central endocrine secretion, and potent vasoactive effects on the cardiovascular system.
  • NPY receptors represent novel molecular therapeutic targets in cancer and obesity.
