Pyrrole-2-carboxaldehyde, 99%, Thermo Scientific Chemicals
Description
Pyrrole-2-carboxaldehyde is used as a pharmaceutical intermediate. It undergoes condensation reaction to produce pyrrole-2-carboxaldehyde salicylhydrazone (PCSH). It is used as a key starting material for the preparation of pyrrole -2-carboxylic acid by oxidation reaction. It is also used to prepare 4-Difluoro-4-bora-3a,4a-diaza-s-indacene (BODIPY dyes) through condensation with a pyrrole, which is an important probes for biotechnology and other applications.
This Thermo Scientific Chemicals brand product was originally part of the Alfa Aesar product portfolio. Some documentation and label information may refer to the legacy brand. The original Alfa Aesar product / item code or SKU reference has not changed as a part of the brand transition to Thermo Scientific Chemicals.
