Sartorius™ Vivaspin™ 2 Centrifugal Concentrator with Cellulose Triacetate (CTA) Membrane
Vivaspin™ 2 Centrifugal Concentrators are disposable ultrafiltration units for concentration of macromolecules. With a broad range of molecular weight cut-offs (MWCO) and membrane materials they are suitable for various substrates, including proteins, viruses, nucleic acids, and nanoparticles.
Brand: Sartorius™ VS02V2
Description
Vivaspin concentrators are designed for the concentration or diafiltration of initial sample volumes up to 3 mL and can be used with swinging bucket or fixed angle rotors that accept 15 mL centrifuge tubes. Vivaspin's patented vertical membrane design and thin channel filtration chamber (US 5,647,990) minimize membrane fouling and provide high-speed concentration for even particle-laden solutions. The speed of Vivaspin products combined with low internal surface and membrane area allow superior recovery from very dilute solutions. The Vivaspin 2 also offers flexibility for process optimization: one can directly pipette the concentrate from the dead stop pocket (built into the bottom of the concentrator) or reverse-spin the concentrate into the recovery cap (which can be sealed for storage). Either method results in near-total concentrate recovery.
- High retentate recovery >90%
- Vertical membrane design for ultra fast concentration
- Universal rotor compatibility
- Safe sample concentration due to dead-stop volume
- Convenient concentrate recovery by pipetting
- Optional re-spin for concentrate recovery
- Volume graduation for easy reading/monitoring
