Thermo Scientific™ Modification Reagent
Deanimate unmethylated cytosines and convert them to uracils. Thermo Scientific™ EpiJET™ Modification Reagent is a component of the EpiJET™ Bisulfate Conversion Kit (K1461) and may be purchased separately when additional supply is needed for more reactions. Supplied in 5 x 0.7g aliquots.
Brand: Thermo Scientific™ R2101
Description
The EpiJET Bisulfite Conversion Kit is designed for simple and reliable bisulfite conversion of DNA for methylation analysis. The kit integrates the thermal DNA denaturation and the bisulfite conversion reactions into one step. The unmethylated cytosines are deaminated and converted to uracils using powdered Modification Reagent that has been reconstituted with the two Modification Solutions. This step can be performed following long or short protocol, depending on the downstream application. The converted DNA is bound to a membrane for on-column desulfonation and subsequent purification steps, and then eluted. The resulting elution of the converted DNA is suitable for a number of techniques used in methylation status analysis, including PCR, qPCR, COBRA and sequencing.
